Thank you for visiting the Defense Health Information Management System website. We strive to provide a single resource for all DHIMS program office-related information and educational resources. This website provides valuable insight into the heart of our organization and includes DHIMS' program office history, press releases, news articles, product information, fact sheets, public briefing archives and a variety of training resources in the EHR User Support section.
The DHIMS mission is to provide a trusted, comprehensive health information management system that seamlessly captures, manages and shares health information from the Theater of Operations to the home front and beyond in support of our service members and our military family. This mission stems directly from several presidential directives and congressional mandates instructing the Department of Defense to provide a nationwide electronic health record for all service members.
As the DHIMS program manager, I work to deliver quality and instill trust. Ensuring our end users understand the system and its capabilities ranks high on my priority list. Through the development and sustainment of quality clinical information management systems, I strive daily to improve patient health care documentation to ensure the highest quality care for our service men and women around the world.
