Leadership Message
Thank you for visiting the Defense Health Information Management System website. Our goal is to provide a single resource for all DHIMS program office-related information and educational resources. This website provides valuable insight into the heart of our organization and includes DHIMS' program office history, press releases, news articles, product information, fact sheets, public briefing archives and a variety of training resources in the EHR User Support section.
The DHIMS mission is to provide a trusted, comprehensive health information management system that seamlessly captures, manages and shares health information from the Theater of Operations to the home front and beyond in support of our service members and our military family. This mission stems directly from several presidential directives and congressional mandates instructing the Department of Defense to provide a nationwide electronic health record for all service members.
As the DHIMS program manager, my priority is to ensure we deliver quality and instill trust by developing quality clinical information management systems that support the highest quality care provided to our service men and women at Military Treatment Facilities around the world.
